Reports your team actually uses.

from the team behind HowToPowerBI

We build and optimize Power BI reporting solutions and train your people to own and use them.

/01SOUNDS FAMILIAR?

Power BI can answer almost any question.
Most implementations answer none of them well.

It is rarely the tool. It is almost always one of these four, and you have probably lived through at least two.

Built before the right questions are asked

Requirements get scoped in a 30-minute call and a rough sketch. Six weeks later the report ships, technically correct and completely unused.

Designed for the developer, not the user

The developer knows the data cold. The stakeholder opens a wall of visuals with no hierarchy, no clear answer, and quietly goes back to Excel.

Too slow to earn a second open

Quick fixes compound into a report that takes 40 seconds to load. It gets opened once. Performance is not a feature, it is the minimum.

Every report feels like a different product

Different colors, layouts and logic, built by different people over time. No design system, so users relearn the interface every single time.

/02WITHOUT A REPORTING SYSTEM

A one-off report flatlines.
A system compounds.

A report nobody opens is not a neutral outcome. The value of a single hand-built report fades the week it ships. A reporting system keeps paying back, every month, as your team extends it.
  • Weeks of build time, quietly abandoned
  • Stakeholders back in spreadsheets within a month
  • A team that hesitates to greenlight Fabric

/03WHY TEAMS TRUST US

We have seen this before.
A lot.

You have probably bought one Power BI implementation that ended in unread dashboards. We are the team that comes in, names what went wrong last time, and ships reporting your stakeholders actually use. Then we train your people to maintain it, so you are not dependent on us.

/04THE PLAN

Three steps
to reporting that lands

One engagement, from the first question to a team that can run it on their own.
Step 1

Align

We run our Requirements Gathering Framework to surface the metrics that matter and get every stakeholder agreeing on what success looks like, before a single visual is built.
Step 2

Build & launch

We engineer the model and DAX, then build the visual layer around the user. Custom theme, mobile-responsive, with a launch and user-testing plan.
Step 3

Hand over

We train your developers and end users so the team can maintain and extend the reports independently once we step away. No dependency.

/05WHAT WE CAN HELP WITH

Whatever your Power BI challenge is
we have probably solved it before.

Report Design & UX
Data Model & DAX Optimization
Governance & Security
Fabric & Migration

Report Design & UX

We rebuild the visual layer around the person using it: clear hierarchy, the right chart for the question, a consistent design system, and mobile layouts. The same method behind the HowToPowerBI design work.

What we deliver
  • Layout & visual hierarchy redesign
  • Custom theme & reusable design system
  • UX patterns & navigation
  • Mobile-responsive layouts

Data Model & DAX Optimization

We re-engineer the model the report sits on: a clean star schema, DAX that does what you intend, and performance tuning so reports load in seconds, not 40 of them.

What we deliver
  • Schema design
  • DAX review & optimization
  • Performance & refresh tuning
  • Model documentation

Governance & Security

We bring order to sharing and access: row-level security, sensitivity labels, a sane workspace structure, and deployment pipelines, so nothing gets exposed by accident and changes ship safely.

What we deliver
  • Row-level security (RLS)
  • Sensitivity labels & access roles
  • Workspace & deployment pipelines
  • Governance audit & policy

Fabric & Migration

We plan and run the move to Microsoft Fabric: architecture, OneLake, Direct Lake, and capacity planning, with an honest take on whether Fabric is the right step for you yet.

What we deliver
  • Fabric architecture & OneLake setup
  • Direct Lake implementation
  • Migration roadmap
  • Capacity & cost planning

/06HOW WE WORK

What an engagement
could look like

Week 1 - 2

01

Requirements Gathering

We guide you through our proprietary framework to surface the business questions your reports need to answer, not just what data you have.
Every key stakeholder is aligned before a single line of DAX is written.

KPI Definition
Stakeholder Interviews
Data Audit
Scope Agreement

Week 3 - 8

02

Report Creation

We build in two-week sprints, so you see progress continuously rather than only at the end. Every report ships fast, clear, and correct, technically and visually.

Data modeling
DAX optimization
UI/UX design

Week 9 - 10

03

Scaling the impact

Once the first reports are live, we map a tailored roadmap to expand analytics across the organization: new business areas, Fabric migration, or AI integration.

/09FAQ

How long does a typical project take?
Typical engagements run 10-12 weeks from kickoff to handover.
Smaller, focused projects (single report area, one business unit) can be delivered in 6-8 weeks. Larger enterprise rollouts with multiple report areas run 10-16 weeks. We scope this during the discovery call before you commit to anything.
Do we need to have Power BI licenses already?
No. We can advise on the right licensing structure as part of the engagement. Most organisations already have Microsoft 365 licences that include Power BI. If you're starting fresh, we'll recommend the most cost-effective setup for your team size and usage patterns.
We already have an internal Power BI developer. Can you still help?
Absolutely, this is actually one of our most common engagements. We come in to accelerate output, introduce advanced techniques, and raise the quality bar. Your internal developer participates throughout and leaves the engagement significantly more skilled. Many clients retain us specifically to upskill their existing team alongside delivering the project.
What happens after the project is delivered?
After the delivery and handover, we offer optional retainer arrangements for teams who want ongoing development support.
Do you work with other BI tools besides Power BI?
Our deep specialization is Power BI and the broader Microsoft data stack - including Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and AI integrations.
Can you also help with Microsoft Fabric or AI integrations?
Yes, our team is DP-600 + DP-700 certified and actively implements Microsoft Fabric and AI-powered analytics for clients scaling beyond standard Power BI. If your requirements go in that direction, we'll surface it during the discovery call and can scope a Fabric or AI engagement alongside Power BI work.
